2012年11月20日上午，广州市教育局民办教育考察团一行十九人，在广州市教育局民办教育处陈昊处长、广州民办教育协会梁泽铭会长的带领下到南京进行民办教育的考察交流。南京教育局副局长、南京民办教育协会会长潘东标，南京市教育局职社处处长梁晓峰，南京市教育局职社处副处长、南京民办教育协会秘书长王广礼，南京民办教育协会副会长徐一冰，南京市教育局职社处主任科员钱介荣，南京市教育局规划处主任科员周晨等参加了接待。
    南京市教育局和民办教育协会在协会秘书处和广州市教育局民办教育考察团举行了交流座谈。王广礼秘书长代表南京市教育局、南京民办教育协会对广州市教育局民办教育考察团的到来表示热烈的欢迎，并作了热情洋溢的致辞。接着，考察团分别听取了南京市教育局规划处周晨科长对南京民办学历教育办学情况、职社处钱介荣科长对南京民办非学历教育调控和管理情况、南京民办教育协会徐一冰副会长对南京民办教育协会近几年所开展的活动情况、职社处梁晓峰处长对南京职业教育的发展情况的介绍。广州民办教育协会会长梁泽铭也将广州民办教育情况做了简要的介绍。交流座谈会上，双方还就发展民办教育的政策支持、管理模式、教师队伍建设，以及面临的问题与对策等进行了深入交流和研讨。最后，南京市教育局副局长、南京民办教育协会会长潘东标就广州民办教育考察团关心的相关问题谈了民办教育管理与发展的一些体会，并特别指出：南京是教育名城，民办教育要提高公信度，要办符合社会需求的民办教育，要最大量的满足人民对优质教育的愿望。
    通过座谈交流，广州民办教育考察团成员对南京民办教育发展情况有了基本的认识，对南京民办教育的办学理念和素质教育发展成果表示赞赏，认为其办学和经验和管理模式很值得学习和借鉴，感到今天来到南京受益匪浅，收获很大。他们还表示，要将南京市民办教育的成功经验和做法带回广州，促进当地民办教育的发展。同时，考察团对南京市教育局、南京民办教育协会的各位领导的盛情接待、无私交流表示感谢，希望今后双方加强联谊和沟通，为两地的民办教育发展做出更大的贡献。
